What Is a Church of Christ? By David Howard

Simply put, it is the church you read about in the New Testament. The church of christ is a non-denominational group of Christians who are determined to restore the simplicity of Christianity as found in the New Testament.

It is our desire and purpose to be governed in all things only by the Word of God, the Bible. Our worship consists of those elements which God, through His son, Jesus Christ, directed to the early church to observe. This includes: Singing, prayer, preaching and observance of the Lord's supper or communion.

We desire to obey Christ's words and hold to the attitude He enjoined when he said: "God is a spirit and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth" (John 4:23).
